A MCDA methodology has been used within a research project on the evaluation of the social acceptance of hydrogen (H2) technology in France. At a first stage we collected shared beliefs of citizens about implications of the use of H2 technology. For that purpose focus groups have been organised leading to the construction of collective causal maps. During this stage, scenarios of what would be the evolution of H2 technology use in the next decades have been identified using mainly expert reports and results of already performed forecasts. In the second stage, the causal maps have been synthesised in order to highlight the underlying values and a set of criteria upon which the scenarios could be assessed.Subjects / Keywords
