| dc.description.abstracten | The paper is based on a corpus of interviews collected with accountants who are currently working or have previously worked in a major international audit company (one of the Big 4). The combined approaches (dialogical, interactive and enunciative) show how a number of hard-to-live affects are being critized in a "controlled manner" within the Big Four, namely boring repetitive tasks, cold contacts with clients, stress and pressure due to managers. Collection and professional contexts are ultimately looked into in order to interpret the controlled dimension of the discourse, by linking them to the responsive dimension of dialogism. | en |
