Our goal is to understand the reasons why firms adopt mobile technologies and analyse how these mobile technologies are appropriated by individuals, so that organizations can fully benefit from the implementation of mobile technologies. A qualitative research constituted of 80 semi-structured interviews in 10 firms was carried out. This paper presents a model which highlights the link between the reasons of adoption and the appropriation by the individuals. One of the main results of this paper lies in the fact that such a link between adoption and appropriation is likely to influence the fit between IT and strategic organizational goalsSubjects / Keywords
