Abstract (FR)
Cet article s'intéresse au sens du don quand il se passe en ligne, via des sites de don d'objets à des étrangers. De récentes recherches ont souligné les difficultés à donner et recevoir. L'apport de cette recherche est de montrer comment ces sites de don, qui grâce à internet permettent de rencontrer un receveur étranger, résolvent les tensions du don aux proches et aux associations caritatives.
Abstract (EN)
The present article looks at the meaning of gift-giving when it is performed via free online recycling websites. Underpinned by research on the difficulties inherent to giving, our paper illustrates how these websites remove the difficulties inherent in giving to kith, kin or to charities.
